| Caption: | Workers erecting a palm tree on the Pissus Estate (c.1910). The property where Sequoia High School is now located was sold by William Dingee to Albert Pissus in 1909. Mr. Pissus imported trees and shrubs from all over the world and had them planted on the site. After her husband's death in 1914, Mrs. Pissus sold the property to the high school district for a new building. | ||
