Caption:   Farm workers in front of thrashing machine (c.1890). Lorens Nelson, a native of Denmark came to Redwood City in 1875 and began farming. He eventually took over Bon's Mill at Main & Railroad. Nelson employed 15 men at $1/day. Nelson is shown in this photograph at far right.
