| Caption: | Hanson's Mill in La Honda (1870). Sawmills like the Hanson Mill in La Honda were erected near timber sites so that the chore of hauling logs was kept to a minimum. At the sawmill, logs were cut into lumber and then loaded onto wagons for the long trip to the Redwood City waterfront. This photograph was taken by O.V. Lange. | ||
