Caption:   Industry: Steiger Terra Cotta (Steiger Pottery Works), employees in work area. Located on East Grand Ave from 1894-1917. It manufactured molded architectural sidings that gave the appearance of carved stonework. Many buildings in San Francisco's financial district used their products.
