Caption:   Daniel Mullen at work in his harness shop (c.1900). Daniel Mullen opened a harness shop on Main Street in 1878. The shop was strategically located near the Pioneer Livery Stable. In 1888, Mullen also became a dealer for the Home Sewing Machine Company. With the coming of the automobile, the saddlery business declined, and Mullen retired in 1918.
