Caption:   Argo Tower - Sequoia High School (1987). Sequoia High School was founded in Redwood City in 1895. Classes were held on the third floor of the Grammar School until a separate high school building was constructed on Broadway in 1904. In 1924, the students moved to the current high school campus at El Camino and Brewster. The tower on the main building is named after Clarence Argo, who was principal of the school from 1921 to 1948.
