Caption:   Five Point House exterior (c.1905). The Five Point House was built in the 1880's and strategically located at the intersection of a logging road from the hills and the primary street to the Redwood Embarcadero. This area became known as Five Points. In 1910, Victor Bernasque built a new hotel, and moved the structure of the original Five Point House to the rear of the property. The building was finally torn down in 1919. Five Points was the intersection of El Camino Real, Redwood Avenue, Woodside Road, Main Street, and Spruce Street.
