Caption: | Sequoia Hotel exterior (1921). The Sequoia was built in 1912 at a cost of $100,000. The three-story brick building featured a dining room and restaurant on the ground floor, and elaborately-decorated guest rooms on the top two floors. President Herbert Hoover stayed at the Sequoia when he visited Redwood City in 1928. The hotel building still stands at the corner of Broadway and Main Street. | ||
