Caption:   San Mateo County courthouse building (1904). The second courthouse was finished in March of 1882 at a cost of $15,000. It was a two-story building which measured 52' by 56'. Courthouse no. 2 is decorated for the laying of the cornerstone for courthouse no. 3, which took place on July 4, 1904. The courthouse block is located between Broadway, Hamilton, Marshall, and Winslow Streets in Redwood City, the county seat of San Mateo County.
