Caption: | Entrance to Dingee Estate (1905). The property where Sequoia High School is now located was sold by William Hebbard to cement magnate William Dingee in 1904. Dingee built a beautiful home and made many improvements to the landscaping of the estate, including a set of stone gates with statuary at the entrance. The Dingee home was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake, and unable to afford re-construction, Mr. Dingee sold the property to George Pissus in 1909. | ||
