Caption:   San Mateo County courthouse building (c.1930). Only the foundation and dome structure of the third courthouse building, were left standing after the 1906 earthquake. County officials used various city buildings to conduct business until the new courthouse was completed in 1910. The courthouse was designed by Glenn Allen and cost $250,000 to build. The courthouse block is located between Broadway, Hamilton, Marshall, and Winslow Streets in Redwood City, the county seat of San Mateo County. The San Mateo County Historical Association now occupies the fourth courthouse building.
