Caption:   Poole Family home (c.1910). John Poole founded Poole Drayage Company in the 1870's, and ran the express delivery service out of Redwood City. His son, John W. Poole, took over the business in 1890, renaming it Poole Transfer and Storage. The family home was built in 1904 on Washington Street, now Hamilton Street.
