Caption:   Redwood City home in transit to a new location (c.1925). J. Frank Archibald started a house-moving business in Redwood City in 1907. His employees were all members of his family, including several of his eight sons. One of his sons, Charles, continued the business after his father's retirement in 1928. Another son, James, re-organized the company into a landscaping business in the 1930's, when house-moving was no longer in strong demand.
