Caption:   Jefferson Elementary School exterior (1939). Jefferson Elementary School was built in 1932 on property in the Robinson Tract. The school building was remodeled in 1948 and renamed John Gill School after former Superintendent of Schools, John Gill. The school building is still in use and located on Jefferson Avenue, between Myrtle Street and Avenue del Oro.
