Caption: | Alhambra Bar interior (c.1900). The Alhambra Bar, which opened in 1896, was the first establishment in Redwood City to acquire a gramophone to entertain patrons with music. The saloon was owned by Henry and Carl Plump. The Plumps closed the saloon in 1917 in order to concentrate more time on their grocery business. The Alhambra Bar was located on Main Street. | ||
