Caption:   Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and parsonage (c.1900). The first Catholic church in Redwood City, called Saint Mary's, was built on Brewster Street in 1866. It was later renamed Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. The building was torn down after 1937, when the present-day church was constructed at the corner of Fulton and James Streets.
