Caption: | Women in back of Episcopal Church (c.1920). Mrs. Mary Cloud (left) and Miss Clara Shelley (right) pose for a photograph after attending Sunday services at the First Congregational Church. Mary Cloud was a pioneer resident of Redwood City and the wife of Joseph J. Cloud, the first surveyor of San Mateo County. Clara Shelley was a bookkeeper for Maloney & Romes Market, and at the time of her death, in 1930, was the oldest member of the Congregational Church. St. Peter's Episcopal Church, built in 1882, is shown in the background. St. Peter's was located across the street from the Congregational Church. | ||
