Caption:   First graduating class of Sequoia High School (1898). Sequoia High School was founded in Redwood City in 1895. It was the first high school in San Mateo County. Classes were held on the third floor of the Grammar School until a separate high school building was constructed on Broadway in 1904. In 1924, the students moved to the current high school campus at El Camino and Brewster. Shown in this photograph are the students of the first graduating class. Roy Cloud, who later became the county superintendent of schools, is in the center of the photograph.
