Caption: | Aerial view of rodeo grounds (1951). In 1939, a local community group called The Peninsula Celebration Association was organized for the purpose of hosting a Fourth of July parade and celebration. After World War II, a rodeo was included in the festivities. The rodeo grounds were located in the area between what is now Marshall, Chestnut, Veterans, and Maple Streets. The rodeo was an annual Redwood City event until the later 1960's. National Motor Bearing building is shown at the top left of this photograph. | ||
