Caption: | Coastal Daylight train at railroad depot (c.1945). Shown in this photograph are passengers waiting to board the Coastal Daylight, a passenger service train that ran between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The train, which is heading north, is stopped at the second depot in Redwood City. It was built in 1901 and was originally located on the east side of the tracks between Marshall and Winslow. In 1937, the depot building was remodeled and moved directly across the tracks to the west. The remodeled depot building is at right in the center of the photograph. | ||
