Caption: | Redwood City Grammar School classroom - students (1899). Redwood City Grammar School opened in 1895, and was located on Broadway across the street from the county courthouse. The first two floors housed over 300 elementary school students, and Sequoia High School students occupied the third floor. Shown here are students from the second-grade class. Roy Cloud, who eventually became the San Mateo County Superintent of Schools, was their teacher. | ||
