Caption: | McKinley School students in front of building (1953). To help house the increase in the student population in the years after World War I, the Redwood City School District constructed McKinley Junior High School. The school opened in January of 1928, and is still in operation as a junior high school. Shown in this photograph are students holding class on the lawn after some of the classrooms had been closed for failing earthquake safety requirements. The school is located at 400 Duane Street. | ||
