Caption: | Central School and Grammar School buildings (c.1925). Central School, at the left of the photograph, was constructed in 1904 and was originally used by Sequoia High School students. When the new high school campus opened in 1924, the school building was converted to an elementary school and renamed Central School. Located on Broadway, between Jefferson Avenue and Webster Street (now called Middlefield Road), the building was torn down in 1948. A section of the Grammar School building is visible at the right of the photograph, with Webster Street at center. The Grammar School building was torn down in 1927. | ||
