Caption:   Gallo Wine Company (also listed as Gallo Sales Company), 1956-97 in South San Francisco. 1956-66 the business operated at 225 Shaw Road; 1966-97 at 440 Forbes Boulevard. An automatic warehousing system, the first of its kind in the United States, was designed for the firm by Matthews Conveyer Company, San Carlos, California, and the Rundel Electric Company of Millbrae, California.
