Caption:   Metropolitan Hotel, Built in 1916, at Grand and Linden Avenues, South San Francisco. The two top levels of the building were used as a hotel. The lower level was used by several small retail and small businesses. The building was completely retrofitted in 1970-1980's. In the 1990's it was still used as a hotel with a large restaurant using most of the street level floor.
