Caption: | Redwood City Garage exterior (1916). The Redwood City Garage was the first automobile repair shop in Redwood City. It was started in 1906 by Miller Paulsen, then sold to George Kreiss, who owned the garage from 1912 to 1917. The garage also served as a gas station, although there were no gas pumps at that time - gas was stored in cans and poured into the automobiles by hand. The men in this photograph are (left to right): George Kreiss, Charlie Douglas, and Joe Smith. | ||
