Caption:   Rix & McLachlan's Garage exterior (1907). Austin Rix & D.P. McLachlan started an automobile repair shop in 1907 at 302 Arguello Street. They rented space in DeMartini's Stable nearby to store cars that were waiting to be repaired. Rix & McLachlan's was the second auto repair shop to open in Redwood City.
