Caption:   Otto Reichardt, founder of Reichardt Duck Farm. Started business in San Francisco, 1901. Primarily sold ducks to Chinese markets in various communities. Other products sold were 360,000 eggs annually, feathers and fertilizers. Moved to South San Francisco in 1917. Moved to Petaluma, California in 1952 when City of South San Francisco used right of condemnation to get land for El Camino High School on Mission Road. Company now operated by Donald Reichardt, grandson of original owner, Otto Reichardt. The photograph of the owner was taken for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco calendar.
