Caption:   South San Francisco General Hospital, built in 1915, located at 500 Grand Avenue (corner of Spruce and Grand Avenues). The building was demolished in 1984. The Plymire Hospital was located in this building from 1905-1915. When Dr. Harry Plymire died, his practice and that of his brother Bradley was bought by Dr. Frank Steven Dolley, who then had the building moved across the street to 519 Grand Avenue, so that he could build the South San Francisco General Hospital in 1918. In 1953 it became Kaiser Foundation Hospital. In 1977 Kaiser moved to a new location at 1500 El Camino Real.
