Caption: | State Theater, 1931-1971. 201 Linden Avenue. Operated by Al Eschelbach, who also owned the Royal Theatre from 1914-1931. Movies were changed three times a week with Wednesday nights known as "Dish Night". All Souls' Catholic Church held services there in the mid 1960's when the church was destroyed by fire. The building is now owned by the Giorgi Family and houses the "State Room" (the upper section of what was the lodge area of the movie house) and is rented for meetings and dances. | ||
