Caption: | IOOF building exterior (1910). The Redwood City chapter of the International Order of Oddfellows built a meeting hall in 1895. The upstairs was used as a lodge hall and the bottom floor was leased out to small businesses. The building was also used by the Ancient Order of United Workman (a fraternal organization of life insurance workers) and the Woodmen of the World. The Alhambra Theater was located in the building to the left of the photograph. In 1921, the Masons purchased the Alhambra and both buildings were remodeled. | ||
