Caption:   Industry: Armour Company, Processing & Distribution Center (postcard). Plant began operation on East Grand Avenue in 1936. Armour had formerly been a partner in Western Meat Co. In 1937, it bought Virden Packing Co., which was also located on East Grand Ave. A new building was built in 1962 at 290 Utah Ave. It closed in 1986.
