Caption:   Germania Hall exterior (1889). The Germania Hall building was built in 1872 by local businessman August Killner. The bottom floor housed small shops, and the top floor was the site of community events that included concerts and presentations by civic groups. The building was torn down after it suffered damage in the 1906 earthquake.
