Caption:   Industry: Rod McLellan Nursery, 1950's, tour group with Rod McLellan. Known as the "Rod McLellan Nursery, Acres of Orchids." Rod McLellan bought property on the east and west sides of El Camino Real in 1926 (later listed as1450 El Camino Real from 1926-1997). As the company grew, it bought more property in Watsonville to expand the business. In 1997 the company moved its greenhouses out of the area. However, it retained a store at 450 Hickey Boulevard. In 1998, homes and townhouses were built on the former land of the McLellan Company property.
