Caption:   Mullen Harness and Saddle Shop exterior (c.1885). Daniel Mullen opened a harness shop on Main Street in 1878. The shop was strategically located near the Pioneer Livery Stable. In 1888, Mullen also became a dealer for the Home Sewing Machine Company. With the coming of the automobile, the saddlery business declined, and Mullen retired in 1918. Dan Mullen is pictured second from left in the photograph.
