Caption:   Magnani's Corner (undated). Salvatore Magnani owned the City Fruit Market on Main Street in the 1920's. As traffic along El Camino increased, Magnani decided to open a small fruit stand at the corner of El Camino and Whipple Avenue. When Magnani added other items to his inventory, including fresh-roasted peanuts, local residents nicknamed the building The Peanut Stand.
