Caption:   Magruders Real Estate office (c.1915). After the 1906 earthquake, many families moved from San Francisco to cities on the Peninsula. Several subdivisions were developed between 1906 and 1915 in Redwood City, and businessmen like Edward W. Magruder of San Francisco opened offices in the area. Macgruders was located at 302 Broadway. The business sold real estate, insurance, and home loans.
